ಹೋಗುವುದು ಕೊಳೆ ।

ಈ ನಿನ್ನ ಚಿಲಿ ಪಿಲಿ, ಹಾರಾಟ
ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದೆ ಮನಸ ಆಹ್ಲಾದ

ಮುಳ್ಳಯ್ಯನಗಿರಿ, ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು (MullayyanaGiri, Chikkamagaluru)

 ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ ೬ . ೩೦ ಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರತು ೭. ೩೦ ಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಳ್ಳಯ್ಯನಗಿರಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ  ತಲುಪಿದೆ. ೬. ೪೦ ಕ್ಕೆ ಸುಮಾರು ಬೆಳಕಾಯಿತು.
 ದಾರಿ ಕಿರಿದಾಗಿತ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಕಡಿದಾದ ತಿರುವುಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಮೇಲೆ ಹತ್ತುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ರಸ್ತೆ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಸರಿ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ದಾರಿಯುದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಸುಮಾರು ದೂರದವರೆಗೂ ಅಲ್ಲಲ್ಲಿ ಜನವಸತಿ ಕಂಡಿತು. ಜನವರಿಯ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದು, ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಯಿತು. ಮಳೆಗಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ರಸ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಊಹೆ ಮಾಡಲಿಕ್ಕಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಬದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲೇ ಒಂದೆರಡು ಸಣ್ಣ ಝರಿಗಳು ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು.  ಕಾರು ಮೇಲೆವರೆಗೂ ಹೋಯಿತು .  ಆದರೆ ಶಿಖರವೇರಲಿ ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲಿಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲು ಹತ್ತಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಶಿಖರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳ್ಳಪ್ಪ ಗಿರಿಯ ಮಠವಿದೆ. ಈ ಋಷಿಯು ತಪಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಲು ಹೇಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೂ ತಲುಪಿದರೋ.

Started from Chikmagalur (near the bus stop) around 6.30 AM and reached the top of MullayyanaGiri aroudn 7.30 AM.  Road is narrow with sharp curves. Could see some houses, plantations for most of the way up. I went in Mid January and couldn't imagine the road during rainy season, probably it will be even more dangerous at that time.Car goes to alomost the top. After that park the car, and go to the peak through the steps. At the top there is a small temple for Mullappa Swamy. I really wonder how he reached this top to medidate when there were no facilities and road.
